Māori Wellbeing

At Bodhi, we are committed to upholding the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and honouring the mana of all Māori learners. We recognise that wellbeing (hauora) is deeply interconnected with identity, whakapapa, and wairua. Our approach to Māori wellbeing is holistic, relational, and grounded in manaakitanga and whanaungatanga.

We value the unique strengths that Māori learners bring to our learning community and are dedicated to creating a culturally safe, inclusive, and empowering environment for you to grow and thrive.

A Whānau-Centred Approach

Māori wellbeing is supported through strong relationships, shared values, and deep respect for mātauranga Māori. At Bodhi, we embrace Te Whare Tapa Whā as a foundational model of hauora, recognising that your wellbeing is shaped by:

  • Taha wairua – Spiritual wellbeing
  • Taha hinengaro – Mental and emotional wellbeing
  • Taha tinana – Physical wellbeing
  • Taha whānau – Social and family wellbeing

We support you to bring your whole self to your learning journey and ensure that your cultural identity is not only recognised but celebrated.
