"Thanks a lot for your support throughout this journey you all have been so supportive and encouraged and help me where I need your advice. I had great experience with you all through communication via email and txt (when ever I need) so thank you so much to help to complete this course".

Nellie Tongalea - Center Owner Pukehina Kidettes - Bay Of Plenty

"I would highly recommend Bodhi to anyone who is considering studying Early Childhood Education. With very passionate, respectful and knowledgeable tutors, students are supported and mentored to become comprehensive and well rounded practitioners in the care and education for young children.

I have worked with students who have studied with Bodhi and I can see the foundations of respect and understanding for young children really coming through in their practices. This seems to come naturally for students who study with Bodhi because it is woven through their studies".

Teagan Stock - Graduate of the NZ Diploma in ECE, Level 5 & 6

"I'm Teagan, a 27-year-old mother to a two-year-old boy, studying through Bodhi has been fantastic and I did this all while working in an ECE setting and caring for my young baby. I have just completed level 5 and 6 over two years of study through Bodhi.

I am so grateful that I chose to do my ECE education through Bodhi, they were consistently supportive through the entire process. I believe the content and assessments were easy to follow and the learning content provided through the courses was relevant and has built me into a confident educator. Kim, Kerry and Mari were always available and provide an effective support system to their students. The small intakes made the experience much more personal and made the support system more readily available.

The tutors have extensive knowledge on ECE and I feel privileged to be a part of the Bodhi family".

Megan Syddall - Ohana Young Parents - Facilitator / Programme Co-ordinator

"I am writing this letter on behalf of what I have observed over the past few years working alongside Bodhi.

Ohana Young Parent Charitable Trust is the first of its kind in Aotearoa.  Ohana has become the leading organisation for teen parents in West Auckland. One of our goals is to encourage and support our young mothers through further education guiding them through NCEA Level 1, 2 and 3 or tertiary education through other organisations.

Bodhi came on board to support our young mothers with their learning journey and it was apparent that the two blended well and share similar philosophies. Some of our young mothers decide through their journey with Ohana that ECE is a positive option for them when looking at careers. They decide that the love of children and working alongside them could be a great opportunity, a focus on education and possible job prospects.

Bodhi is unique and with online learning these young mothers find it beneficial and possible to achieve their goals and reach milestones. They are able to study at home and plan their own schedule around raising their child. They develop good relationships and receive support by Bodhi staff, they feel a real sense of belonging when they have their tutor visit. As Ohana is run out of a licenced childcare facility they are able to achieve their hours within the settings and the extended whanau settings, this is huge to them as individuals. Some weeks they may have to leave their child for ECE hours or placements but they know their baby is in great hands.

I can identify the individuals at Ohana choosing to study with Bodhi reach excellent academic achievement and for me this is the most rewarding aspect of my position. I love that the girls share their journey and what they are learning with not only myself but other staff. I am grateful for what Bodhi offers to our clients and I know that our Bodhi students appreciate the opportunities and all they do for them".
